I flew to Wisconsin to do a campaign with Sargento and the campaign is LIVE. But, only on Tiktok. Also, because of my contract, I’m not allowed to share on any of my social media feeds. Moving on…

I’ve noticed that I’ve lost a pretty significant amount of paid subscribers in two months and that is terribly worrying. Not just because it’s a loss of income for me, but really it makes me feel like I’m not holding up my end of the bargain. And it’s near impossible to get y’all to be transparent and honest with me on what is lacking because no one wants to hurt feelings.

What’s changed about the newsletter?

I know that I’ve sort of slowed down on the content that I used to make that allowed y’all to look into I’m me and Mami’s lives. And I’ve also not been doing too much Puerto Rican content, which many of you originally came for.

Because of all that, I’ve decided that maybe it’s time for us to hang out! The holidays are almost upon us and and it’s the time of year when I actually feel joyful. So, let’s do something! I got this idea from Anela Malik (@feedthemalik) when she mentioned that does special lunches/dinners/gatherings for her paid subscribers. I thought this might be something y’all would be interested in?

I have a few ideas, but I need everyone to weigh in. And also…help! If someone would like to plan, that would be extremely helpful.

Monthly subscribers: I’ll host a casual weekend lunch in the SF Bay Area. Down in the comments, throw out some October dates and times and I’ll create a poll on Instagram because it seems like it’s the easiest way?

Annual Subscribers: Let’s do Friendsgiving?! No, it doesn’t have to be on Thanksgiving. I can either rent out an airbnb or if someone can host at their house in the Bay Area? Or, perhaps we could do dinner in December when everything is Chrismassy?

We’d dine and gab. I’d be more than happy to sign books. A real intimate affair and not something I’ve ever done before.
