Uncle Joe (born in 1941), a divorcee, was almost 40. Nina (born in 1960) wasn’t even 20 yet. The rumor goes: my Uncle Joe wanted to take my Nina (my mom’s sister) out on New Year’s Eve and my nana said, “If you don’t bring her back by 9PM, don’t bring her back at all.” Nina was still living at home at the time. I’m assuming he never brought her back.
