I feel like anyone that condemns you for doodling doesn’t know how our brains work! And probably also trying to make us conform to being little worker cogs in their capitalist system, but that’s just my guess!

Habichuelas are in the book! People just need to buy the book. I mean. (HOWEVER there are no butternut squashes in the book recipe, so a double-dose recipe is excellent.) I made them four or five times in the summer, and shared a bunch in little free fridges around town. OSOOOOSOSOOOSSOSOOSOOO yummy. Now that I also have 11 - ELEVEN - butternut squashes sitting around - 1 from a CSA, 2 from a volunteer vine in our garden, and 8 from the local Fill Your Pantry event - I'll definitely be making this version! Yummmm. Now off to order Sazon for all of the cooks on my holiday gift list ...

Thanks for the habicheulas quick recipe!

Mami's neighborhood trees look beautiful <3

Your handwriting and drawing are lovely! My husband is a big-time doodler. Any unclaimed piece of paper is fair game, including the family calendar, haha

Going to make these. Excited bc I have leftover pureed butternut squash from a planned butternut-bourbon pie recipe. Huz is always instant-potting Rancho Gordos so that's a win. And of course I have the sazon.
