Corazon, I have a bunch of book recs for you. I deleted all of my personal social media, so I cannot DM you the recs. Where shall I write you? I also have the name of someone that maybe able to help you - and if she can't, she will reach out to her network and find someone for you in CA. The fence is a metaphor for life. Have faith; you'll put it back together!

A Silent Fire - this one is more medical, but ties in stress with inflammation.
Belleruth Naparstek also has guided meditations on YouTube.
I am a huge believer of EMDR. If you have any questions or need recs, contact Yanina Marti Ramirez, and tell her I sent you. You got this! We all believe in you, and are so very proud of your work. Please please keep us posted whenever you feel up to it.
Insert long string of expletives about the fence situation here! I'm sorry you are dealing with that $#!+ Way to spring into action. Time for a road trip to a place that brings both of you joy!
Good thoughts to you and Mami as you navigate the broken fence. I'll miss your and Mami's drives on IG but wish you some measure of peace I hope deactivation brings.
Hang in there Illyana. Dr. Raquel Martin (YouTube and Insta) speaks about anger/depression as a trauma response and how to isolate the triggers and think /respond differently. She's very pro-diaspora and is a professor, so her information is researched, up-to-date and viewed from a "systems" perspective. She makes you think.
Broken record alert: you are such an important voice for the community. Keep writing. ❤️🇵🇷🥭
ugh! this is a lot for you to process! I am glad mami is ok. Sending you lots of good vibes. You got this. I know you are going to get through all this shit. Big hugs- even if you don't want them :)
Holy hell, sorry to hear about all this. I had been wondering where you went just yesterday. I hope the resolution for Mami’s fence isn’t too painful to deal with.
You have a great writing style and I get the anger. Here's a book rec that I just read and resonates with my own CPTSD. Stephanie Foo's, What My Bones Know. I will become a paying subscriber when I get my ass out of bed and to get my CC security code.
Dang I'm late to the rage party! So glad I can find your voice here <3 Sending you love and hoping you can find the perfect balance between rage and happy, that's what I'm always seeking. As a librarian I definitely recommend getting a library acct and downloading the libby app (if you haven't already) and checking out some audiobooks for your rides. I've been listening to braiding sweetgrass when I need to chill out.
So glad we still get to hear from you via the newsletter!! Social media is such a double edged sword. You’re so brave! I wish I was brave enough to do that 😂. It’s so hard to just vent and be honest without inviting well meaning advice or judgement. I’m so guilty of trying to rationalize or fix things when my friends vent to me too. Reminds me of that really cute meme about a girl saying how her bf was trying to be supportive when her shawarma fell apart, and he asked her “are you in the feeling stage or the solutions oriented stage?” 😂 sometimes we just wanna rage! I hope you find your raging safe space and peeps offline. All the best to you and Mami and glad everyone is safe (except for the douche who crashed into the fence, good riddance to them)

You're welcome, Love.

This is so sweet. What a blessing. ❤️🥭
I follow @yogi_bryan on IG. He does “f*ck it” yoga & meditation. Lots of F bombs on his page. It’s worth a try.

Do you know if he's indigenous? He has a shirt that says, "Just sage yourself."

Oooooh thank you! Just looked her up on YT.
No advice from me (those that live in glass houses and all). Just hoping you find some relief soon. And then some more after that.
thank you!
Oh my! What a headache. May all this smooth out soon.
